Luigi De Crescenzo

Born in Naples on May 22, 1989, he is a sound-sensitive artist. A member of a family with a rich artistic history, Luigi was drawn toward music from an early age. He studied piano and composition at the S. Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples. After several collaborations as a composer, in 2015, he took the role of a singer-songwriter for the first time. In 2017, a song he wrote and performs, was selected for Area Sanremo (Imperia – Italy), the most attended Young Artists contest in Italy. Later on, he forms the project Naea with Giorgio Sbordone and Davide Esposito (Cicala), his role is one of vocalist and composer.
The Band gains several publications and collaborations and performs around Italy at different festivals. In 2019, one of the band’s songs, “Quello che c’è”, arrives as a finalist at the Mia Martini Prize 2019 (Bagnara Calabra – talia), among the most important awards in Italy dedicated to unreleased music of authorship. In 2020, Luigi decided to devote himself to his own productions. In the same year, he wrote the original music for the docufilm, “Il sole esce per tutti.” Directed by Paolo Modugno with urban artist Jorit, as part of the experimental project for teenagers “N.E.E.T.” of the City of Naples (Italy). In 2021, released his first song as a solo artist, “Juoc e mare”. A song entirely in the Neapolitan dialect, his origin language. The song raised a strong national media interest and reserved a spot on the “Radio di Bordo” program on Rai Radio 1, Italy’s first public channel. During the same year, he curates the soundtrack of the Nessie’s Multimedia installation like “The Cube” presented at Blowing Festival 21 (Pergola – Italy), “Nativ0e” presented at FRAC FESTIVAL 23 (Lamezia Terme – Italy) and more.
Today, Luigi focuses on music production and original compositing of his own projects target by Nessie as well as artistic collaborations in other fields.
